The timeline for completing a commissioned artwork varies depending on the complexity of the piece. We will provide you with an estimated timeframe upon discussing your requirements, but generally an A4 single portrait takes 6-8 hours spread over 1 week.
Throughout the process I will send you daily drawing updates so that you can check that you are happy with the drawing throughout the process.
I can use either coloured pencil & wash or acrylic paint for pet portraits - working on high-quality archive paper (usually Canson) or stretched canvas on a frame or board.
Each portrait is produced bespokely but as a rough guide a single A4 portrait in pencil & wash takes me between 6-9 hours (over a week) and my hourly rate is £20 pr hr so between £120-£180.
