Time & Medium?
The timeline for completing a commissioned artwork varies depending on the complexity of the piece.
Each portrait is produced bespokely, but as a rough guide a single A4 portrait in pencil & wash will take between 6-9 hours (over a week), my hourly rate is £20 pr hr so between £120-£180.
Throughout the process I will send you daily drawing updates so that you can check that you are happy with the drawing throughout the process.
I can use either coloured pencil & wash, pen & wash or acrylic paint for pet portraits - working on high-quality archive paper or stretched canvas on a frame or board.
Commission Process
Get in-touch if you would like to book a commission time slot as I usually have a waiting list.
We can then discuss what you would like - size of piece and medium.
Then send me several photos of the pet so we can discuss the pose you would like for the artwork. I also like to have several other photos to refer to for colour/tonal references.
Once I have your photos and a composition/pose is decided upon then I can allocate you a time slot for your artwork.
No deposit required - payment only once you are happy with the artwork.
Postage in the UK is additional to the artwork fee.
No postage out of the UK.
